Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian-born singer who was born on November 21 1984 in British Columbia's Mission. As a child Carly Rae started to play music. It was in high-school when she started participating in talent competitions held locally. When she graduated from high school, she went to at the Canadian College of Performing Arts located in Victoria, British Columbia. She auditioned in 2007 for the fifth season of Canadian Idol and made it to the Top 3. In 2008 she dropped Tug of War as her first album. The album was a huge success immediately and reached the top spot at the top of the Canadian Albums Chart. The hit single Call Me Maybe was from her 2012 second album Kiss. The song was a huge success, reaching at the top of chart positions across 18 nations and selling 15,000,000 copies. In the years since she's released three additional albums.
